Aftercare Recommendation's
At Harper’s Lush Locks, we want you to enjoy your gorgeous new hair extensions for as long as possible. With the right care and maintenance, your extensions will stay soft, shiny, and beautiful. Please follow our aftercare advice below to keep your hair looking flawless.

Washing & Conditioning
-
Wash your hair 1–2 times per week maximum.
-
Use sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoos and conditioners to protect your bonds and hair quality.
-
Always wash with lukewarm water and apply shampoo in a downward motion—never rub or twist the hair.
-
Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends only (avoid the roots and bonds).

Sleeping
-
Never go to bed with wet hair.
-
Tie your hair into a loose braid or ponytail before sleeping to prevent tangling.
-
Use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and extend the life of your extensions.

Drying
-
Pat hair gently with a towel to remove excess water—do not rub.
-
Always use a heat-protectant spray before blow-drying or styling.
-
Dry the bonds thoroughly with a cool setting before applying heat to the lengths.

Swimming & Exercise
-
Chlorine and salt water can dry out and damage extensions.
-
Always tie hair up and wear a swim cap when swimming.
-
Rinse hair immediately after swimming and apply a leave-in conditioner.
-
For workouts, tie hair back gently to avoid tangling and sweat build-up.

Brushing & Styling
-
Use a soft bristle brush or extension brush designed to prevent pulling.
-
Brush your hair 1–2 times daily morning and night, starting from the ends and working upwards.
-
Avoid excessive tension at the bonds.
-
Heat styling tools are safe but should always be used with a heat protector.

Important Notes
-
Do not attempt to remove extensions yourself—this should only be done by a trained professional.
-
Avoid using products with alcohol, sulfates, or oils near the bonds, as these may cause slippage.
-
Following the above guidance will help ensure your extensions remain smooth, silky, and long-lasting.
